CALENDAR OF EVENTS

2008

      ROGERS STREET DAYS at Rogers Street. Friday and Saturday, August 8th & 9th.    Beginning Friday, August 8th from 5p-10p.m., and Saturday, August 9th from noon to 10 p.m. 

 Live music, food, beverages. Friday night the band Waterworks will entertain.   Saturday afternoon sail making and boat building for kids and kid games will be

held on the grounds. In addition to smelt, burgers, brats, fries for sale on both days, on Saturday, Dan Niquette will serve his famous crawfish.   Both his original and Cajun style crawfish will be available. The Crawfish Boil is held in honor of the late Robert Niquette who began the tradition eight years ago. The Lakeshore Sea Kayakers will present a kayak parade on Friday evening at 7p.m. weather permitting.  On Saturday evening the nationally acclaimed Bryan Lee and the Blues Power Band will be on hand.  For more info call:   920-793-5905.

Saturday, November 22nd

 Christmas in the Village-ROUSE SIMMONS Day. 

 The story of the ROUSE  SIMMONS, the Christmas Tree Ship, will be told at 1p.m at the Two Rivers Community House. Keith Meverden and Tamara Thomsen of the State Archaeology and Maritime Preservation Program will speak on their book, Myth and Mysteries: Underwater Archaeological Investigation of the Lumber Schooner ROUSE SIMMOMS, Christmas Tree Ship. From 2:30p.m. - 4p. there will be an open house at Rogers Street Museum with the lighting of the Christmas Tree at 2:30p. at the Village.  Hot chocolate and the Roncalli carolers with Frank Birr, director, will be on hand.  Please call the museum at (920) 793-5905 for more information on the Calendar.
